well this is 2 ?'s. But they are Me and my band are gonna play at our school's Battle of the bands next year. And we have learned one cover so far it's "Paranoid" by, Black Sabbath. But we need 2 more songs that are fairly easy and are sure crowd pleasers. Any suggestions? BTW We are a Hard Rock/Metal band. And the 2nd ? is I have to decide between these 2 amps. The Marshall MG half-stack, or the Vox Valvetronix AD100VT half stack. I can't decide which sounds better for like a screaming heavy metal tone?

The Valvetronix is the best of those. Why can't you bring your own amp though?

What difficulty does the song have to be? Paranoid would be a pretty good one IMO, especially if you're not all very experienced.
If you really want to play a crowd pleaser do hey there delialah though.

Vox stack. Try Scarified by Paul Gilbert or Constant Motion by Dream Theater.

What? He's playing Paranoid? Compared to those two your suggested, Paranoid is a walk in the park!

Try some Eagles, Hendrix, Kings Of Leon?

If it's next year try writing something really good yourself. Unless you're playing to a really stupid crowd who are gonna vote for whoever does the song they recognizee most.

What about No Sleep Till Brooklyn from Beastie Boys? Its not really a rock song but you could play it easily and would get the crowd going. That is if your band can pull off the rap parts Maybe some RATM or some VH like Running with the Devil or Panama?
2003 Music Man Axis Pacific Blue Burst

Why do you feel like you need a stack?

for songs: how about Killing in the Name of - Ratm, some deep purple or AC/DC. These bands have songs that are while pretty easy to play, still rock your socks off.

Easy to play too, altough your singer might cringe to death on-stage from the silly lyrics.

the vox is a really decent amp for the price and if you HAVE to have a stack and HAVE to have volume get it.
