Well here's a cover of Petrucci I did today, sorry if the sound quality's a bit buzzy, I don't got pro equipment to record, just an average mic i've had since I have this computer.
I did mess up at some points, just minor mistakes..

I recorded it on a backtrack, I used the same distortion during the whole song so you'll know what guitar is the one I did (obviously lead). I didn't record the last solo, I can't play it yet so you can just stop at minute 5:35

It's in my profile...So tell me what you think.

very nice...i had trouble telling whether it was you or just a recording lol.
(that's a compliment, you played almost exactly)
although i didn't listen to the entire thing, it sounds pretty great.
wish i could play that cleanly.

make loud howling noises and throw your feces at them whenever they bring it up, I suggest that your GF does the same.

It sounded almost exactly like the original, major props for that.

I enjoyed listening, keep up the amazing work.

While you did some things differently (playing things down an octave or not at all) it was still really good.

I really dig your tone.. I assume you dont have a 23rd and 24th frets but nice improvisation on the intro. Great work.
