Is it possible to spontaneously learn sweep picking. I've been trying casually for a long time, and I never really got it. But I occasionally record videos of my self, and I was watching a sloppy improv thing I did, and I saw a couple of sweeps in it that I thought about when I was playing, but didn't really realize I was doing.

Is it actually that hard? Or do people hype it up.

It's pretty hard. It requires a lot of practice to do it well at high speed.

It's one of those things you have to just shut up and practice, which is annoying because you'll suck at first, but that's the only way you'll be able to sweep well.

All right. I mean I've been working for a few months now. Not like serious sit down an hour a day. But I work on it when I'm just playing around.
