I'm looking to buy a Yamaha Pacifica 112J and a Roland Cube 20X from a local music store (Tapestry Music).
Their price is $270 for the PAC and $190 for the Cube.
I also need to buy accessories like straps strings and whatnot.

Online everywhere, including GC/Musician'sFriend/Music123 + a lot more, sell the PAC for $200.

So I'm planning on getting everything for like $450.
Is this reasonable? Should I go lower? Higher?

THANKS!!!

PS: I don't really need techniques on how to haggle.

EDITh yeah, i live in canada and im 16
no GC here and my parents are paying for it, but i dont wanna spend too much.

You shouldn't be paying more than $120 for a pacifica guitar, not sure about a cube20 though, I know the micro cube is around $119? so the 20 shouldn't be THAT much more. I'd say $300 tops for everything, straps, picks, few packs of strings, amp and guitar. $300 plus tax wouldn't be that bad.

But you gotta remember local mom and pop shops usually mark up a wee bit more because they can't afford to keep costs low. Either way $300+tax and you are set.

$120 for the PAC?
thats like... 60% off..
and even though that COULD be how much its worth, they're not gonna do it O_O

well, so lower? how much lower?
*keep it reasonable >_<

ok, the price of the Pacifica seemed sort of high, but you should definitely be able to get a free strap, strings, and picks at least. $300 isn't much for a descent beginner guitar and an amp so ya but they should give you the accessories for free

i couldnt do $300 cuz then i wouldnt have any excuse for it other than "thats how much its worth"
cuz i dont expect them to sell as low as online, so yeah.

so, any other suggestions?

get micro cube, the cube 20x doesn't have as many amp models, whch is what the cubes are known for. You should walk out there with everything for 300.

well i dont really need those amp models, i dont play metal...
and im not even sure if the store sells those o_O

well, 300... how am i supposed to haggle that?
as i stated above, i dont expect them to sell as low as online, , not to mention lower than it o_O

they MIGHT, but i dont wanna be laughed at for stating an unreasonable price (i guess)
