i was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on what the highest output pickup is?
#3
why do you care? The raw specs of a pickup are somewhat irrelevant - all that matters is the tone they give you through your amp.

some sort of active pickup, i'd guess... emg sounds about right.

not keen myself-prefer lower output pickups!
it's a fine line between clever and
stupid

For passives, the Seymour Duncan Blackout has ridiculously high output.

EMGs, for active.

Blackouts are active.

And technically all active pickups are extremely low output, it's the preamp that boosts the signal.
