it may just be the video camera mic, but it was very farty.
other than that it was pretty good.
#7
Nice tone. Turn down the bass a little, though, as others have said.

But I can't really talk. I have my SRV setting....... bass at 8, trble at 7 1/2, and mids at 6

Meh, can't really tell without seeing in person - youtube is not a very good place to judge tones. But sounds good anyway.

that sounds freakin sweet! reminds me alot of hendrix. You're pretty good, too how long you been playing?
#11
I know. I made the video 100mb in 20 seconds so I could get as good quality as possible. But it's still different.

I've been playing a little over 2 years.

That's why I didn't say anything about the bass.

I thought it was mostly the camera.

It probably sounds killer in person.

It's kinda hard to tell because you are limited by the fact that it's youtube and by your recording gear. The playing was good. Didn't like the settings though. You need less bass and more mids, then turn down your gain a little and turn your master volume up. That'll help you sound more alive.

Well. I don't have a master volume first of all. That was the clean channel. It's actually not very loud but I had ear plugs. My mids were on 10 and my bass 6.

Then turn your overdrive pedal off.

If your mids were 10 and your bass at 6 then just turn your bass down even more or stop using EQ on your overdrive pedal.

It's not on. It's actually not attached.

What are you using for drive then? You don't get that kind of drive from the clean chanel of an amp, at low volume, with no overdrive pedal. If you do then your amp is broken.

You must not know the VK very well then!

It has drive on both the clean and dirty channel for future reference.

Turn your gain down

It's low volume compared to a stack. It's on 6. It's enough to shake my basement shelves.

So back off the mid, add some treble make it a little lower volume (and less distorted)

It doens't have an actual gain knob.

He meant it distorts at lower volume setting. The amp on 10 sounds like a metal pedal.

So would backing off the guitar volume work maybe?

It breaks up at low volumes Corduroy.

The clean channel on ten certainly does not sound like a metal pedal on 10.

It sounds like the dirty channel at like 2 or 3.

I never did.

The amp breaks up at low levels though.

Hahaha I really wish I could tell. It doesn't hurt my ears unless I'm standing in front of it.

I'm not one of these deaf players either.

I listen to my ipod less than half way.

Edit: It's probably high 90's low 100's. Damaging.

Can someone enlighten me to this phenomenon? My 112 doesn't break up on the clean channel till at least 7. Is this specifically to do with the 212 version?

Hmmm...I had celestion greenbacks in my 212 for a while and it broke up at 4.

But even with the originals mine still breaks around 5.

What kind of guitar are you using?

I don't know! , I'm just comparing it to the clean channel of my Laney, which doesn't break up 'till it's stupid loud.

All right, here's the other video.

It's louder for some reason. Or registers as louder. Volume 5.5 Bass 6 mid 7.5 treble like...6?

So the farting is your mic.

Again man, really nice sound. Great for blues-rock (at least to my ears).
