I just finally got my electric guitar shipped here from my parent's house, and I plugged it in, cranked it up, and was surprised to find both of the pickups (a humbucker at bridge and a twin rail at neck) had a really rediculously sharp metallic sound to them. I know this isn't because of my amp, and I'm played other people's guitars through it and gotten some really amazing tones. My guitar is custom wired...maybe something in there is making it sound tinny as hell? Any ideas how to improve the sound here would be awesome.
you could download the proper wiring schematics and rewire it yourself or take it to a tech
what kind of guitar, what kind of wood?
It's a Peavey T60, and I'm pretty sure the body is oak. If not, something else heavy and hard.
