The jag is pretty awesoeme actually. Easily one of the best squiers...with some customizations, it can be really good.

If it came in white I'd hit it.

Why don't you just save up and buy a Fender Jag? That way you won't have to customize it with a ridiculous amount of setups that will no doubt end up costing more than its Fender counterpart. Also please don't tell me that the only reason you want a Jag is cause Kurt Cobain played one (I think he did anyway I could be wrong)...

Because usually it cost less to mod a guitar?

Fender Jaguar: 1500
Squier Jagmaster: 250

New pickups: 100-200
New nut: 20-50
New electronics: 20
New tremolo: 100

(all prices close estimates)

Total to revamp jagmaster: roughly 555, 945 less then stock fender jaguar (Which typicly needs some work its self.)

All above mentioned work can be done yourself, but even then at a decent shop it wouldn't be more then maybe 100-150 total.
