Hey everyone. I'm looking for some advice here. I play most hard rock/metal but like to mess around in other areas every once in awhile. I currently own a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser so i have active EMG's in the guitar. I love the guitar it rocks. But im stuck wondering if i can do better for only alittle more money than i payed for my schecter. I always thought about just buying a Les Paul but idk.. im open to other brands. Any thoughts on your parts?

Thanks

Jackson DK2 or DK2M. It's a Japan made guitar for cheaper than your HR. It's got passive duncans, but they are still suitable for hard rock. They have floyds tho, that's the only thing you might not want on it.
Current Gear:
LTD MH-400 with Gotoh GE1996T (EMG 85/60)
PRS SE Custom 24 (Suhr SSH+/SSV)
Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)
Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz V
Audient iD22 interface
Peavey Revalver 4, UAD Friedman BE100/DS40
Adam S3A monitors

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
