Here's my newly painted and modded Explorer. What ive done is that ive removed the pickguard and filled the hole under it and repainted it. And i have installed black hardware.

Its not done yet, im still waiting for my EMG 60 ive ordered. And some other small things.
But you get a good look at what its gonna look like when its done.

Comment please!

That's awesome man. Never heard of Bach but still, it looks sweet. You should paint the bevels black.

When its done Ill have payed about 800-900 USD.

nice work. bevels? explorers don't really have bevels like rhoads models do.
#7
Without strings and dots it looks just like a Guitar Hero guitar. Looks good though.

it's when they carve the edge to create a facet or flat spot.

Im from Sweden.

So far I love the guitar. I havent played that many guitars but its one of the best guitars Ive tried, it feels great.
For the price its really worth it.

My friend who owns a Gibson didnt want to give me back my guitar when he tried it. lol.

Looks good, do you have any "before" pics?

The sides of the guitar then. Whatever that's called. I'd say binding but that's something different.

Or you could make it like an ESP and carve some bevels on there yourself =)

You destroyed that beauty!

I knew someone would make a comment like that :P

Everyone has got their own opinion on what looks the best, and I didnt like how it looked from the start. I was really looking for an Explorer that looked like mine does now but this was the only Explorer I could find so I decided to mod it.
Now I have my dream guitar

man ive always wanted a James Hetfield approved explorer. but ESP stopped making them and started making their ugly as **** EX guitars.

...I like it. I also liked it before.

But I strongly dislike the two logos bunched closely together like that.

Bach is a guitar company? Before you posted the second picture, I assumed YOU'D done that to the headstock...

I agree with painting the headstock white, but other than that, it's pretty sexy.

I'm not a fan of white guitars but I'm glad you like it!!

I can't decide which I like better, the before or after.. They both look fantastic. But of course, it's about your opinion here and you seem to be happy about it.

I think you should leave the headstock black, btw.

Just paint the first few frets in color and you can pass it off as a GH guitar! What tuners did you use?
