Will it fatally kill the guitar that it'll have no strings for about a week or 2?

I don't mind if the neck warps a bit, I was planning to take it to a luthier anyway.

it wont, my Ibanez was literally sitting on my bedroom floor, in peices for at least a month and i'ts fine, so if it warps theres a problem

No. Loosening the truss rod makes it a little easier on the neck, but it's definitely not necessary.

I left the strings off my Strat for a month. The truss rod needed resetting, but the new strings didn't break the neck when I put them back on. Who says Squier can't build guitars?
