Hello folks,

I have a Gibson Les Paul Custom 1959 Standard VOS . I have come to the point of the 'first restring' and thought I would take the opportunity to try and set up the guitar for optimum intonation and lowest possible string action.
So if anyone knows the procedure or could point me in the direction of a decent tutorial I would be very grateful.

Any advice here would be very much appreciated.

NOTE - I will be top-wrapping and using 0.009s

Dude you got the guitar I wanted! I got the 68 VOS instead!

I paid a guy to set mine up, you may need to lower the neck truss rod, so rather than bugger up £2500 guitar I requested what I wanted, and tbh it's not to different than what you want, I also got my LP's done too yet to regret it.
