I am in the process of buying the line 6 guitarport. If anyone uses this what speakers sound best computer or studio monitors?? what brands??? I am using this until I move out of my apartment and into a house. No need for a tube amp right now. But, I did want to get some speakers that will sound better than a microcube. Although the cube sounds good it tends to fart out sometimes.

Well, studio monitors tend to have a flatter frequency response than computer speakers, so they will give you the most accurate mixing capabilities. Computer speakers(good ones) sound great, but they dont usually have a flat EQ. I have some Bose speakers that I love for gaming and listening, but they really have a bass boost that I wouldn't hear through professionally voiced monitors.

playing by yourself is like masturbating, sure it feels great, but it's nothing compared to the real deal.

If this helps, really wouldn't be using it for mixing, more to use when I don't want to play through headphones. But, I would like something that is decent that I could keep for sometime.

Well since your not planning on pro mixing and recording yet, I would try some cheap studio monitors like the ones mentioned above. Or better yet, a decent surround sound computer system.
