Wrong answer. You don't want a Marshall amp with the letters "MG" in the name. The AVT's and Mode fours are pretty awful, as well. The "classic marshall sound" comes from marshall tube amps, wich you're not going to get for less than $500 or so.

Unless you have more than a grand or so, stay away from Marshalls.
Even then, if you have the money to do so, an Orange would be better.

Unless you are saving up past a grand, stay away.

There are plenty of great amps that don't have the marshall name. What styles of music do you play and what is your budget?

There is the Palomino V16. That is a good amp.

However, If you want a modeling amp, I recommend a valvetronix.

But to get a tube tone, you need a tube amp and I think the palomino is the best (new) amp in that range
