im just wondering i have a epiphone sg g-400 and a yamaha ERG 121c2 , i prefer playing my sg more but i was wondering what could i do to my SG so i can shred on it more easily, thx

yeah it really boils down to practice, I can shred just fine on my SG. The only real modification I could thing of anyway is to shave the neck, which is very tricky and not worth it IMO.

Even then that isn't necessarily going to make him any faster, just the neck thinner which is a preference thing.

yeah i know your looking for any tips to cut corners and make it a little easier but in all honesty there's no way around it. your gonna have to practice your ass off

Lol nice.

I dunno, get high gain pickups if you like to shred with distortion. The neck might hold you back, but pretty much you can shred on anything. Just gotta get used to it.
