Hey, can anyone recommend some good bright single coils with Insane Amounts of High End. For some reason I can never get enough treble to satisfy my ears. I like to play with a medium/light amount of distortion, which I like to get by cranking up the volume as opposed to the gain, if that helps.

Thanks in advance!

Texas Specials can scream, also check out Fender SCN's. They have a slightly more modern tone to them, but are capable of a lot of high end.
Suhr Custom, Flaxwood Rautia or Grosh Tele thru
HBE Medicine Bawl Wah
Analogman BiComp
Texas Two Step OD
Fulltone Ultimate Octave/Fuzz
Boss CE-2
TC Nova Delay
SLO-100, 65 London or Bogner Shiva
Ask me about any of this stuff!

Thanks,
I'll check em both out.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong but don't neck p'ups have a lot more treble to compensate for being in the neck position?
Or is it the other way around, and they have more bass to accenuate being in the neck pos.?

get a vintage style low output pickup set. www.rockmonkeyguitars.com 's corduroy (chris) can make you one for decently cheap.

neck position has a lot of frequency response, but the bridge has less bass, making it sound brighter.

So putting a neck pup in the bridge spot doesn't necessarily mean more treble?

pickups are wound similar. neck position sounds bassier because of the position along the string. not because neck pickups are wound bassier.

although some pickup sets are wound differently, neck being less winds, bridge with more, but it shouldn't make the neck pickup treblier than the bridge.

Ok, thanks, that was a bad misconception that I've always had.

P.S.- Does any measureable quantity give pickups more treble, so that I can look for that?

Still lookin, but narrowing it down. Texas Spec's are too bassy and I don't really want noiseless/stacked.

Put higher value pots in your guitar, try 500k or even 1 meg.

What amp do you have? Most amps will be able to deliver more treble than the average human can handle.

Okay, would different cap values help while I'm at it?

Just got rid of my roland(old bc-30), but I'm buying a valveking at the end of the month though. Good for what I was describing?

Peavey Classic 30 would be better for you than the VK.
