Hi all,

I recently aquired a Columbus bass (pics here )

and was thinking of refinishing it in a matte black like this

My plan was to strip the old finish (which is in terrible condition), fill all the dings with a good quality wood filler, then grey primer, matte black enamel and a matte clear coat over the top.

Is this the right approach? I've read a few guides on here but nothing much on achieving a good matte finish.

Thanks,

Chris

Cool - thanks for pointing out the obvious school-boy error..... I wonder if anyone has actually done that

Thanks - I think I might have to wait a bit before I can get started - I'll be spraying in an unheated workshop and at the moment in the UK it's not exactly warm...
