Right now, when I want to learn to play a song, I either come here or ask my instructor, but both can just listen to a song and immediately know how to play it. I want to train my ear to do the same, but I need some songs where the guitar is easy to hear so I can tab them out myself and practice. Any ideas?

Bread - Aubrey
extreme - more than words
everlast - what it's like

most people already know these, but if you don't know how to play these. they are good to start your ear training.

Hey gzusfreak.

Do a google search on slowdown software. This will give slow down any song that you want to learn and make it manageable. I use slowdown software almost daily in my practicing.

Windows Media Player will also do it for free which is a huge help.

Starting by learning songs is a good way to go, but if you start with some basic intervals, it will give you a much more solid foundation. When you go back to learning songs, you will get much more out of it.

Good luck.
