is there a chord that is easier to play than F#m but still sounds the same? if not, what is the easiest way to play it?

3 agreed?

Well that's Fm so no, wouldn't agree

Easier way to play F#m would probably be x,4,4,2,2,x but you won't get the complete sound. Just practice the standard 2,4,4,2,2,2 and you'll soon be able to play it. It is one of the more important chord shapes to learn so keep at it.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.
