When running a line out from my combo amp into my computer do I need to use a speaker cable or would an instrument cable work?

You dont know wether you computer is a speaker or not?

Heres a hint. If it was a speaker, it'd be called a speaker. Not a computer.

Jesus a simple "no" would have worked just as well. You don't need to be a dick about it.

I just know it can be bad if you run a line-out to a cab without a speaker cable so i just wanted to make sure.

And the amp?

It may just be an XLR - TRS (TRS is the same as 1/4") that you can plug on the front panel.

You'll need an instrument cable with a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. Run from the line out (NOT speaker out) of your amp in to the line in (NOT mic in) on your computer.
