how do i stop feed back on some of my guitars.

it happens on my gibson les paul a lot.

i thought it was the amp but i changed amps and stuff and it's still the same i always throw on distortion and it gives me big feed back.

how can i fix that?

two words. noise gate. if not, just stand farther away from the amp. Also if it only happens when you stop playing, just learn how to use the volume knob. I dont mean that sarcastically, you have you learn how to play with it in the middle of songsso your not getting feedback during pauses in playing.

they do, but that is meant to "buck" the hum, not the feedback. feedback and hum are different things
