as far as I'm aware it's the programming that's going to be the hardest part.

there are easy tutorials on turning old keyboards (the computer kind, not musical kind) into midi controllers.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose since you would still have to press the keys with your hands because they are too small and too close together?

^you just pry off all the keys you don't need, try googling it, I know it's out there somewhere
