Hi, I just bought a strap for my western guitar (Johnson JD27, doesn't have a strap knob on top of the body) which looks kinda like this It's a two part belt, one part is thick and has the holes in it to adjust length, the other one has a sort of rectangular patch with a slot in it at one end and the other one just has holes to put it on the machine heads (? is this where its meant to go?). How the hell do I make the two fit together? I've tried looping the smaller bit through itself and then through one of the holes on the larger one, but it just doesnt look right. Any help much appreciated.

well one way that u can do it is if u tie the end with the "strings" together behind the nut...the other way u can do it is take it to a local guitar shop and have them put another strap knob on...thats what i have
