Look into either Epiphones or Agiles.

I wouldn't say Epiphone. Epiphone makes really good Les Pauls. My Epiphone is way better than a Gibson Les Paul Standard.

Also for the thread ?. No guitars are $250 or less. Not even a broken one. lol.

Ever gigged on a Les Paul standard or even played one?
An Epiphone les paul and a Gibson les paul are practically different instruments.

Buy both pickups. Rub icyhot on both of them. Sandwich your penis between them and walk to the nearest homeless shelter with your brand new icyhot penis sandwich.

I'll tell you something, ive got a les paulo special 2 (piece of crap aye?). but its not. i dunno, the neck just feels nice, the body is light. howevere change the pickups. Im just about to install a tone zone and air norton into mine. i dunno i just like it, and most the time i choose it over my LAG.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
