Two questions:
First, i'm looking to change my valveking 112's speaker to something better. I tend to play alot of metal or high gain music and the VK's stock speaker sometimes sounds fairly distorted and crackly in a way it definitely should not. Can anyone recommend me a good speaker replacement? Don't worry about price.

Second, Can anyone point me in the right direction for information on how to change a speaker out?

Veteran 30 for the speaker would be a good choice. It's a clone of the Celestion Vintage 30 and is supposively better than the current line of them (Mako uses them in their cabs if I'm not mistaken), and it costs around 1/3 of the price.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

I'll check those out. Celestions were definitely on my list. What about Manowars or anything like that?

I really like Eminence Legends, never tried the Man 'O Wars though.

I have a V30 in my ENGL and I'm very pleased with it. I'd rather have some vintage Celestions but Eminence is getting in my view every now and then.
