I'm trying to put in some new pickups, and I can't get the pick guard off because of those two metal threaded holes that the bolts for the bridge saddles screw into. They don't seem to slip out, are they screwed in? It's an Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400, and here's a pic...

Twist them i believe.

Edit: They control the height of the bridge, So just un-screw them till they drop out.

Should work.
Yeah, now you're gonna die wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?

Help me to live.

I make custom guitar wiring harnesses and I'm pretty damn good at it!

They screw out, might be a little tricky, they seem to be set really low. You'll probably need to give the guitar a setup afterwards, though.

I realize I took the pic with the bolts in, and those unscrew and come out just fine. The problem is the bolt receptacles that they are screwed into.

I tend to think I'm not completely incompetent... although I've been wrong before.

Thanks for the quick replies.

THANKS! I owe you one LP. Spatula was a great idea, and worked like a charm.
