I am thinking about get a Schecter guitar..maybe a Tempest Custom or some kind of C1 like an Elite or a Blackjack. I am looking for good guitar for playing live and for good quality recording. Has anyone used these, are the pickups and tone good? I play in a rock band, I like the guitar tone of like Skillet, Kutless or Breaking Benjamin.

yeah they're pretty good but I have to say try it out on your own.
you may not like them. I do, they're good quality and they've never done me wrong

I love shecters, I'm a drummer mostly so you might not want to listen to me, but my bands lead guitarist has a shecter diamond series and it plays better than a Gibson (In my opinion) but cost us $700 instead of $1500

Just about every Schecter (short of the Artist Models) is worth far more than its cost and the pickups and tone vary from guitar to guitar but are generally good for what they are intended for.

This is UG, we love Schecters and Ibanez and Jacksons, we hate Deans and BCR's, we hate Marshall MG's, and everyone needs a new amp.
