I am still considering getting a fender. however i have been looking at an American Standard Strat or an American Standard Fat Strat. Is there a big difference between the two? which is better overall (tone, etc).

thanks

The only real difference between them is that the Fat Strat has a humbucker in the bridge position. So if you like alot of distortion then you might want to try the Fat Strat.
Gear:
Vox Valvetronix amp
Gibson Les Paul
Fender MIA Strat (soon with SeymourD. Pearly Gates humbucker)
