I hate my freaking crafter acoustic so freaking bad it's not even funny.

Thank god tomorrow is Saturday and I can pick up my electric finally.

It's flat and it doesn't stay intonation It really needs a tune up.

LOL.

Well my crafter is suppose to be the gibson d-50 clone and it needs a tune up and a string change really bad.

I have this harmonic hum in the high e string that wasn't there 7 months ago. and it doesn't stay intonation.

I can't buy anything for quite a while now I'm saving for a trip and I've purchased a Chevy Bravada. And plus I have $200 bill at the music store for some strat pickups

So I can't buy anything until September.

  • Buy a tuner
  • Learn how to string your own guitar.
  • Buy a fully compensated saddle (it's not expensive).
  • ????
  • PROFIT!
Sincerely, Chad.

saddle it's part of the bridge correct?

and I do have a tuner every time I tune it says its in tune then about 3 days later I can feel the wave through out my strings ( depending on the string) I have to re tune it until the wave goes away.

The saddle is the piece of micarta/TUSQ/bone that is inlaid into the bridge. It is what the strings sit on.

Then tune it every three days. It's not a hardship.

True true and I kind of knew what you mean when you said saddle.

I need my local music shop to add a strap lock knob on the end of the guitar.

then it will be more comfy to use.

Do you mean an endpin? An endpin sits at the bottom end of your guitar; you hook a strap to it, then tie the other end of the strap around the headstock.

If you want a straplock button put in . . . I don't really see the point of it on an acoustic, but you can do it yourself, so long as the current endpin is the modern "screw" type (like on Seagulls). If the endpin just plugs into a hole in the end of the guitar, installing a straplock button will be much trickier.

Installing a second strap button is all personal preference; I prefer to just tie my straps to the headstock.
Sincerely, Chad.

Yes that's what I mean and I wouldn't dare touching my guitar since I have the Tim Allan syndrome lols.

But anyways what guitar would you recommend for me that's not fat like my d-50 clone and I could plug it in to an amp?

And I was thinking 12 string but they may be harder to learn.

I got 2 endpins on my guitar. One is at the normal spot, and one is where the neck joins the guitar, facing downward...it's hard to explain, but there at different angles, but it works

If there are any typos or grammar errors in here, it's because of my extreme inebriation right now.

A twelve string is not hard to learn. It's played the same way as a six string, but requires more finger strength to press down each pair of strings.

Personally, I'd recommend a Seagull, but that's because I'm a huge supporter of them.
Sincerely, Chad.

I actually did that with my first guitar. I found it in an attic, had to reattach the neck in the first place, and it's a miracle it worked (kinda) for 2 months after that. When the fretboard started coming off, i burned it! Strings burn bright blue.

dont hate your guitar its gotten you into playing and introduced you to the wonderfull world of acoustic guitar. If you want to learn to ride a horse you dont start out on a good one. Your first guitar is like your first car guy/girl you kissed what ever it may not be the greatest thing in the world but looking back it will give you memories that will last forever.

DO what i did upgrade to a new model and pass your guitar off to a freind or family member that is interested in learning to play the guitar then it will continue to serve a purpose and you will have passed the joy of guitar off to another.

try a martin d12x1 for a 12 string for 550 to 600 bucks it is literally the best 12 string i've ever played. the action is superb and it stays in tune beautifully but i have it tuned down a whole step since it relieves a lot of tension on the neck and body.
