I usually don't care about looks too much but how would my epi les paul look with EMG pickups. The epi is a sunburst les paul. What color pickups would look best?

the pickup color should match the hardware..... all my guitars have black hardware and black pickups!

EMGs matches black hardware perfectly

Ibanez RG2228 Prestige
Schecter C7 Jeff Loomis FR (18volt mod)
Epiphone Gothic Explorer (with SD Blackouts)
Ibanez RG350M Yellow
Peavey C5 Tigerwood 5string bass

duncans would look best but if you must have emgs go with black but I think white might look cool so to see put some paper strips that color and stick them in there and see they will look somewhat the same as emgs

Why do they put pickguards on an LP anyway? it's really pointless, since it isn't under the strings.

TS, it'll look good with black. The white'll stand out too much.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
