I have learned just about the entire song from August Burns Red called "Barbarian", but I ran across something that I don't really know how I am supposed to finger:

||--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
||--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
||--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
||-5---7---8---7---4---5---7---5---1---3---5---1---3---5---7---3--|
||--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
||---5---5---5---5---0---0---0---0---1---1---1---1---3---3---3----|
PM . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I can play the part on the high C string (song is in Drop C tuning, so 4th string), but I just can't seem to be able to finger correctly for the entire riff, I've also noticed that ABR tends to do this quite often, as well as other MetalCore bands.

Any help would/will be greatly appreciated

TIA
Cam

EDIT: the PMing dots are messing up, but all the notes on the 6th string or low C string are supposed to be palm muted.
Got a question about Baritone guitars? Feel free to PM me.

Thanks to UG, I converted from Metalcore to some "real" Metal.

Heres how id play that:

Start by barring the fifth fret to play the first 2 notes then add your ring and pinky to play the 7th and 8th frets on the D string.
Then remove the barre and use your index, middle and pinky to play the 4th, 5th and 7th frets on the D string.
Now barre the first fret and use you ring and pinky to play the 3rd and 5th frets.
Then barre the third fret and use your ring and pinky to add the 5th and 7th frets.

Yay for metalcore. Anyways...

I would do what Tom183 told you, just barre and mute the A string.
