I'd like to know too. Mainly because I've heard a lot of good things about the Sonic Maximiser, and I'd like to know if it's a decent low budget alternative.

I bet it is a really crappy piece of equipment. Like most of the things made by Behringer...

The hotbar should be floating parallel to the principle axis at this point. Next, take a hammer, and beat yourself in the face while crying JIHAD. problem fixed.

Behringer never makes good rack gear or recording gear so i would not spend money on it...
I have the 482i (plugin form...)and find its not too useful and when used in 90% of things, it doesn't help much or at all...

behringer ADA converters are cheap and will only harm your sound.

I suggest a compressor and nice EQ pedal as you can do a lot to your sound with these two products.
