What is everyones opinion of the Gibson SG standard. Is it headstock heavy? Good for some harder style music? Also how are the standard pickups with distortion? Thanks!

If you're wearing the guitar and let go, it will balance out horizontally, but the headstock won't be dipping down to the floor every two seconds or anything, this also depends on the grip of your strap on your shoulder.

As far as everything else, this guitar rips. The only problem is the price. Buy it used or not at all, because for the new price, it's a complete ripoff. If you know how to use eBay/craigslist, you could get two great condition SG Standards for the price of one new one. Good luck!
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

Great Guitar, the Headstock Dive is something ive only seen on some Epi's and Copys. My Gibson, and others ive played had no dive. The Stock Pickups are Pretty Good, and will handel Distortion Fine. And Yes its good for Styles from Blues to Hard Rock, and Even a bit of Thrash if you needed it to.
