those are pretty well known arent they. didnt dimebag or someone use those?

how are gfs by the way, I've never wanted to buy any cause the price is just TOO good. I don't want to pay even those prices just to have more ****y pickups lying around.

i havent tried them. my friend just bought some, and im waiting for him to get his guitar all together so i can hear them. im hoping to find alot of other GFS type pickup makers, somehom i think that would make me feel justified in wanting to buy some. i simply dont have them money for more expensive pickups.

Check out a user by the name CorduroyEW on here. He makes custom ones for good prices.

My Kramer came with a Mitymite pickup that I've been pretty impressed with it. The one I have is really high output, but I think they have several different ones.

i know about rockmonkey. i have talked to him via email a few times. if i ever could justify spending that much money i would do it. however im trying to get through college. also, sdpickups are great, however thats too much money and yo have to wait 6 months for him to make them
#16
i agree. and he offered me the price of like 170. also, his clips dont sound that nice, so im skeptical.

WOW, crazy painful fail on my part. I swear that wasn't there when I read it the first time around. I'm sorry; I'm off to jump from the 12th story of my building.

haha its ok. i have made similar mistakes before.

bg pickups are quite nice. they arent gfs cheap, but still a great deal for something that is really high quality. gfs pickups are just so cheap that i am really doubtful that they will actually be an upgrade from anything but very bad pickups.
#22
yeah i agree, but i havent tried them/heard them yet so i cant really make a judgement.
thanks for those, i will look at them now.

Having a couple sets of their pups, I think they're great. Not as good as SD's, but I think they're better "for the money".
#24
I've got some Rockmonkey pickups, great sounding and weren't expensive!

Bare Knuckle Pickups?
Quote by 2 15/16
I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

i have an irongear 'steam hammer'. i like it. full, warm, plenty of midrange but its all still very well defined and clear. i would recommend, especially for the price, which is basically amazing.
my name is matt. you can call me that if you like.
