Since the school district is low on money (to the point where they are laying off teachers half way through the year) my band is having a fundraising party. We desided that we would play the music ourselves. So any good songs that would be instantly recognised would be great. Keep them easy though were only 14.

Play old people's classic rock (Stones, Zeppelin, Van Halen, Boston, the like). Stuff that you'd hear on a classic rock station.

Also, don't be the only band, get a few established local bands to play a set each as well. Make it an event so more people will be interested.

maybe something that people can dance to, or you could recreate the scene from Back to the Future where Marty Mcfly plays Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry

who are the songs for? the teachers or everyone else there? because if its mostly for teachers id stick to any classic rock songs. like somes stones, AC/DC, clapton, hendrix, zeppelin, etc... they all have songs that are pretty simple.
