So my sister is turning 13 and she wants to have a big party cause shes becoming a teenager....well anyways, seeing as my mom and is very talented with arts and crafts related things, she is going to have a disco party. So a few days back my parents asked me, "Son, why dont u and your band play some disco songs?" To which I replied,"Dad, were a rock/blues/ funk band. Plus, disco has a lot of horns and barely any guitar...." And he says"Well cant you guys play anything?" And I said, "Well we can play funk songs." So he said Ok.

So pretty much we have to pick out funk based songs, with no horns that are danceable and that people will know....so far Ive only got two that my sis agreed to: Play That Funky Music- Wild Cherry and Superstition- SRV(Yes I know its not really funk but the rythm is danceable, people will know it and I want to play the solo)

Now after that Im out of ideas....anyone have any suggestions? Once again...70's, no or very little horns, dancable and that people will know.

Thanks in advanced

Yea, Sublime is a great band. You have an Underoath icon, so I think your opinion doesn't matter.

Slow Ride - Foghat.

Odds are, people could get dancing to the bass. Might be pushing it a little, but a lot of people know that song.

dude you'll get so much pre-teen poon!

on a less disturbing note, I'd say some old RHCP. Also, do Brickhouse and Play That Funky Music. They have cool guitar/bass lines so it would be easy to do and fun.
