so last night i started learning my first 5 string sweep (minor shape)

so anyways i'm practicing the fingering and i notice that when i hammer on with my pinky, the tempo drops from 16th notes to 8th notes then goes pack up on the next sweep, i thought nothing of it because my pinky is the most underused finger when i play guitar (i know i only have a 75% capability on guitar). anyways today i was watching paul gilberts get out of my yard DVD (i highly reccomend it even though it is only him explaining his songs i learned a thing or 2 from some of his ramblings about theory). after about half an hour i decide to practice my sweep picking so i pick up my guitar and voila my pinky is keeping up and i have done no strengthening excercises at all!

also last night i bought a cowboy hat and when i put it on i played knockin on heavens door and improvised a really kickass solo to it. (maybe i'm being superstitous)

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

Unless you have strings that can withstand the heat of the sun, you cant play as fast as John Petrucci. Its just a known fact. Deal with it.

Sometimes your fingers just click for no reason. Accept it, and hope like hell it doesn't go away.

But seriously, sometimes it just takes a while for the efforts of practicing to set in. Now that you can do it, just practice it once in a while to make sure it doesn't go away.

how much is 15,000 PHP? I didn't know they played guitar in the Phillipines. I thought they played ukelele or something.

Because, of course, we're too far away from places with guitars and all that stuff so we play ukelele...

Sleeping always makes something easier to do, because the brain transfers the information from one side of the brain to the other when you're sleeping.
