This guitar looks the part, but what about the people that own it? Do you think it sounds good? Do you think it's worth £199 ?

Let me know, I'm considering getting it.

P.S I haven't heard of 'Vintage' before, but they seem well established.

Not easily available in the UK.

Vintage make diabolically poor quality instruments. Avoid at all costs.

Another LP guitar... wow... how unique.

Is it just me, or is commenting on the uniqueness of LP guitars your ONLY contribution to the forum?

I've tried and Vintage strat copy, and I must say, I was very impressed. Better than any squier I've ever tried. Hopefully this LP is also good.

What woods is it made of? What pickups and hardware? I think most, if not all, Vintage guitars have Wilkinson hardware and pickups, which are pretty good.

Also, is it a set neck? A bolt on les paul is no fun.

You're a bit of a prick aren't you? If he likes that guitar, then he is allowed to. If it's his opinion that he likes it, then you have no right to criticise him, or make morning and sarcastic remarks.

Er...apart from the fact that it has Wilkinson hardware and pickups (already a good sign) it doesn't really say much. Just a publicity statement.

You're being hypocritical. You tell someone to read the thread and stick to the topic.

But you've just said that it's an unoriginal design. That has nothing to do with the threadstarter's request.

I have a Vintage SG copy. The pickups (to my ears) sound a lot better than the Epi ones. As for build quality it varies quite a lot - some feel nice and others don't. I'm very happy with mine and wouldn't trade it for something twice the price.

You clearly said "But you've just said that it's an unoriginal design."

I didn't mean it was "unoriginal", I meant it by a little over used.

Vintage guitars aren't really bad for what you pay but those fake relic jobs really but me off and the Wilkinson pickups are a tad on the muddy side.

Seems fine spec-wise. Trying one is the best thing to do. It's probably better than most guitars in it's price range.

That's all I have to say.

They make the guitars with like, faded off paint and don't put a clear coat on it.

I suppose it's to make the guitar look old.

Usually on the front of the guitar, near the rear end and a bit under the pickguard.

There's some on the back too.
