It's on Channel 4 right now (UK people). Is it any good? Worth staying up to watch?

You like snuff films?
They say the old woman's got the wisdom
'Cause she couldn't read the clock anymore
She said "The numbers don't represent the moments"
Says she don't see what all the ticking's for

Some guy gets beat up for 45 minutes. If want to see that, by all means.
Dear God, do you actually answer prayers?

Yes, but only in a way indistinguishable from random luck or the result of your own efforts.
#7
Meh. Might as well, I'm doing eff all tomorrow so I won't need to get up early.

He does in the uncut version, which also features him going into the future and killing Dan Brown.

Confused? Good.

I'm watching it now, it's crap. Firstly, they should have focused more on Jesus' life and his teaches, but well, it's Mel Gibson, he gets gore boners every day. There's too much slow motion action going on, it's like a Steven Seagal film - the slow mo actually makes violence boring. I also doubt they had chains like that in 33ad.

Have any of you guys actually seen the film?

i are christian, but i have no desire to watch it. i already know the story, so i don't really care to see it go into detail with all the violence.

Exactly, it's like watching the Titanic. Wow, I wonder how that's gonna end.

yup. mainly i just don't like a lot of violence, and although it's not like freaking Hostel or something, a dude does get nailed to a cross after getting savagely beaten, and a guy gets his eyes eaten out by a crow or raven or something, so yeah.

2)make obvious punk puns, possibly related to food
3)make fun of Rancid and NOFX again

I wouldn't wanna watch a film about his life.

I'm only watching it to see him get tortured.

I briefly thought a couple of years ago that "Passion of the Christ" was the name of some bizarre biblical fetish porn movie that took the world by storm. But then it dawned on me - Mel Gibson was directing it, so it couldn't be THAT good

I thought it was a good movie. Beats the **** that gets pumped out to make money every year.

whether you're religious or not its a good film imo.
it would be stupid to dismiss it because you're not religious.
and it would be stupid to say its a great film just because you are.
Send me off to bed forevermore.

It sucks, its totally unrealistic and is based on no evidence whatsoever. I would expect a film like this to have sense of realistic christianity about it. Apparently not
