I'd have to say Tom Verlaine, Billy Zoom, Johnny Thunders, John Frusciante(yes, I like the Chili Peppers), there are a lot more I just don't feel like listing them.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

Rest in Peace, Troy Davis and Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis and Eric Garner and Mike Brown

Robert Quine, A DUH!

Kurt Ballou, too.
My style is impetuous.
My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious.
I want your heart.
I want to eat your children.

-Mike Tyson

Tomas Kalnoky (not so much for his guitar work, but if he really composes and arranges all of Streetlight's music, he's an amazing musician), Matt Skiba.

I'll think of more.
They say the old woman's got the wisdom
'Cause she couldn't read the clock anymore
She said "The numbers don't represent the moments"
Says she don't see what all the ticking's for

I admire a lot of guitarists, but I'd say my real favorites, and the ones who influence me the most are Mick Jones, East Bay Ray, Johnny Thunders, and Johnny Ramone.

Its kinda odd how nobody has mentioned any more contemparary punk guitarists. Now that I think about it, there really haven't been any groundbreaking bands guitarwise in recent years.

Recently, the guitarists that have been influencing me the most style-wise are Richard Lloyd and Tom Verlaine. I'm trying to develop a more unique style of my own, though.

Edit: I forgot about Johnny Thunders. He's influenced me lately too.

Mike Watt, Peter Hook, Matt Freeman, that guy from A Wilhelm Scream

You fixed yourself, you said, "Well, never mind,
We are ugly, but we have the music."

As always, Doolittle knows what the **** is up.

Forgot Robert Quine, though.

I'm assuming this is just for punk guitarists, so I won't put my favorites from other genres.

I think I grab ideas for guitar from alot of different people. BUT these are some people/bands who after i see them/play one of their records i'm always inspired to pick up and jam.

-Disrobe, guitarist uses some nice sweeps thrown into songs randomly, bassist is amazing also
-easy bay ray
-Sin orden
-bad brains (self titled has some stuff i love)
-propagandhi, melody when used sparsely can be pretty cool i think
-los crudos (lots of time when i'm messing around i play something and think 'oh **** thats a crudos song!'')
-thin the herd

ehh i guess i don't know too many of their names.

It has been a long time since I last sucked up to someone, so I have to say that Johnny Skull**** is the greatest guitarist in the world.

I'm not even joking. He is pure genius.

You should all check him out.

Did I mention he's amazing?

I also like Steve Jones, Cheetah Chrome, Johnny Thunders, East Bay Ray, Billy Zoom, Brian Setzer, and a few others that I can't be bothered to list atm.

Django pwns. Honestly, I have no clue how he played that, I can't with four fingers, let alone two.

I'm surprised no one has said Captain Sensible. He is a mofo on the geetar Tbh The Damned's 1st guitarist Brian James was quite a nutter on guitar too. I also have to mention Steve Diggle from The Buzzcocks. I love his melodic style, this also leads me to Magazine's wicked guitarist John McGeoch.

Noodles from The Offspring is great too, on their early albums.
