I'm looking for some good Punk/Pop-Punk cover songs. I've found a few, but there's a lot I'm missing.

I've saw Punk Goes 80s which I liked a lot. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and some other bands like New Found Glory and songs. I prefer covers being of classic rock songs.

And I was actually thinking of making a list if anyone cares? Here's what I already have:

The Boys of summer - The Ataris
99 Red Balloons - Goldfinger
Don't Stop Believin' - Flight 409
I wanna Love You - The Maine
Time After Time - Quietdrive

Take On Me by Reel Big Fish. close enough to pop punk IMO.

fall out boy has done numerous covers.

blink 182 did another girl, another planet.

astro zombies by MCR.

and there was a cover by TBS right? I forget which one...

all I can think up off the top of my head...

I heard a good cover of "brown eyed girl" by MXPX
Oh f*ck it,
I'm gonna have a party.
I had the blankest year,
I watched life turn into a TV show.
It was totally weird.

California Dreaming, think it was Hi-Standard that covered it, was on one of those Fat Wreck Chords compilations years ago, fantastic version.

I like the Lag Wagon cover.

Hmm
I don't listen to that many covers.

Jesse Lacey covers suck. He messes up songs

Fall Out Boy are amazing at ruining great songs. They ruined Start Today, Love Will Tear Us Apart, and Save You Generation. Also Cap'n Jazz's version of Take On Me is the best.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

I don't understand how bands could have such amazing influences and write such terrible music. Then again, I don't know how much original music they actually write.

I liked Reel Big Fish's version better but it's all just opinions.

....and I've liked every single cover fall out boy has done. :/

I can't think of any more at the moment.

^ I do agree, but they did cover that song quite well. Plus, 'Baseketball' was a bit of a classic during high school.

The cover of that song is probably the only good song that they've done. When it comes to ska I stick to two tone.

Avoiding Ska altogether is recommended
The majority of it is so incredibly sh*t, I'm convinced people only like it because they can skank to it. That at least seemed to be the case in high school.

I don't know... take away 'Ghost town' and I don't think I would have ever cared to listen to them. Have the same opinion of them as I do of 10cc really.
Probably some decent tracks that are unknown to me but I can live without.

I like take on me and sell out. the trombone "riff" is just sooo cool. but those are pretty much the only two.

"almost ska." like pop punk bands with some trombone and trumpet stuff in them is cool I think. for example, goldfinger's superman is one of my favorite songs ever. it's so catchy and fun to listen to.
