ok i have narrowed my choices of what guitar i want to build for my first time.

its either going to be an ibanez rg or a normal fender strat.

but i was wondering a few things if you guys could answer them. and please all questions if you can

1. which one would cause less problems building, more specifically finding parts for it (mostly the neck)

2. which one would do better selling it on ebay or on here

3. which one would you go with in ur opinion and please explain ur choice

4. anything you can tell me about these two guitars.

thanks alot

1.The strat would pose less problems finding parts. Theyre everywhere.
2.I really don't know.
3. I would make the strat only because i already have an RG
4. Whats your musical preferences? Heavy Rock-Metal, RG. Anything clean or overdriven/ bluesy, Strat.

yeah i totally love rock/heavy metal

Make the RG then bro. Or you could try for the Fender with humbucker in the bridge, but from what it sounds like, you'll like the RG better.

Whichever style body you like better would be the one to build. Parts are everywhere, you can get pretty much everything you'd need from: www.allparts.com If you want to get a premade neck warmoth is probably your best bet but if you really want the full experience I'd recommend making your own neck. If its built well and has decent hardware either one would do fine on ebay or here, however I wouldn't recommend selling your first one, you will probably make some mistakes (as everyone who builds guitars does on their first one, even myself) so I'd wait until the third or fourth to start selling on ebay.

Hold on, can I ask you a practical question at this point. Why have you been an active member of an online guitar community when you don't actually own a guitar?
