Miles Davis.

Oh, or Marilyn Manson was a good one, too.

Search Bar - Zac Moate, great read, (couldnt resist sorry, my first "search bar")

But seriously from what I have heard, Slash's autobiography is really good.

Also I quite liked Gene Simmons' book Kiss and Make-Up.

Even though I hate his music, I want to read Elliot Smith's biography. I bet Daniel Johnston's is REALLY good. I'd also like to read the one on Billie Holiday, her autobiography.

I cannot stress this enough: Do not read the biography of Layne Staley. It is garbage. The woman who wrote it barely speaks English, and starts yammering on for an entire chapter about goats. I am not kidding. She talks about goats. And Jim Morrison.

****, nah I've never got anything like that, I just get 'YOU'VE WON THE MOTHERFUUCKIN LOTTERY IN IREELAND SEND ME UR DETAILS N U GET 10 000 000 DOLLLAAZZ"

But I'm sure some paid hitman wouldn't email that, and would have better grammar

Slash's book was really good for a GNR fan like myself, though I have to admit I did like Scar Tissue better. The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx is also great.

Scar Tissue's my favourite biography so far. Room full of mirros (hendrix) is pretty cool too. i've also read the dirt (motley crue) though it was quite biased towards them, and one of cobain's biographies. not bad, all of them

i wanna read slash's and the heroin diaries...

Dude I got these strings the other day that couldn't be tuned to higher than 4 octaves below middle C then I realized that they were shoelaces and they weren't making any sound at all.

The clapton one is pretty good, and although Im not a fan of their music, the Motley Crew biography was a great book.

marilyn manson's bio - long hard road out of hell - was fantastic.

scar tissue sucked though. it was repetitive and truly uninspiring. i love the peppers, but the bio really wrecked a tiny tiny part of the music.
dont read it.

Heavier then Heaven - Kurt Cobain's is excellent.
I read some crappy Dave Grohl one.
Eric Clapton's was ok, not great, bit monotonous.

I want to read Slash's and Kiedis' next.

I've only ever read Slash's and found it a bit boring. All it included was drugs/sex/thievery/booze with a bit of guitar playing on the side. Got a bit boring after 100 pages of how drunk he was all the time.

So I wouldn't recommend that!

Indeed.

Scar Tissue is really good.

Slash's one was crap.

+1 to Scar Tissue, The Dirt & Slash.

Don't listen to the guy dissing Kiedis his sig makes references to lemons, clearly something going on there.
#33
The Heroin Diaries is amazing. So is Shakey by Jimmy McDonough, its an awesome read about Neil Young.

mmm now im kinda interested about marilyn manson's bio..... sounds relli relli interesting... even though im not a a fan or anything
#36
A lot of people have already said it, but I must say it again...

SCAR TISSUE IS QUITE POSSIBLY THE BEST BOOK I'VE EVER READ.
Mostly because I find it really interesting getting into an addicts head. Knowing what the **** they were thinking...It's SO interesting. Plus, you get to know a hell of a lot about RHCP, & Kiedis. Oh, it's good.
But the smile you send in my direction makes me feel like I'm alive
