OK!
I have been looking around for the past few months for a good tube amp. My price range is still 1k tops, maybe over by a bit if its totally worth it.

Ive played these amps for a long period of time:
Mesa F-30 ( i really liked it)
Traynor YCV40 (i liked it)

I have tested these amps:
Peavey valveking (it was eh)
Peavey JSX (not impressed)
VoxAC15 (not enough distortion)
Palomino (see above)

I am playing metal, hard rock, and stoner metal, heavy metal. . CLEANS DO NOT MATTER TO ME AT ALL.(i know i might regret saying that in a few years but who cares)

Bands: Mastodon, The Sword, The Hives, Lamb of God, Protest the Hero.

I have a Hagstrom Swede, and i might get a tubescreamer.

SO:give me some advice on what amp would be best that i listed, or one that i didnt play yet.

A used Mesa Mark IV is right around your price range.

Also, try the F-50. IMO, it's better for your style than the F-30.

The Mesa F30. Look for used Mark Iv's though.

Used Mark III's would also work perfectly and may be even cheaper than a IV.

f30 has el34s (84s? one of the two) whereas the f50 has 6l6. f30 is more of a british (marshall) sound, f50 is more american (think recto).

yea, the F-50 is a great little amp. i love the american voicing.
Gibson Les Paul Studio

I think you should at least try a 5150/6505/Bugera... they're tonally very different from Mesas, and, for those genres, deciding which is better is very much a matter of personal preference. Plus, you'll save some money, which you can use to buy a nice OD to tighten up the sound.
