Im thinking of using these now instead of the Crunchy PATs, how would this work? Bridge position, playing metal on this pup. Basically what Im looking for is a higher quality pickup that has the same characteristics as the one I have now. This pickup has Alnico magnets aswell I believe.

I replaced the bridge pickup in two of my guitars with these and I'm pleased. Definetely worth the money.

note that these aren't really high output humbuckers

I would get a Crunchy PAF for your bridge, since u want metal, but maybe get an Alnico Boutique for your neck if u replace that.

I was looking at the GFS pups too..
Would a Crunchy PAF be good for moderate gain? Classic rock and such?

Thats the one I assume youre talking about right? Well they both have the same output rating, 14K. Is that what determines how high of an output each pickup puts out? Or are there other factors? Im gonna keep the bridge the same btw.. If I need less bite Ill just roll my tone knob back when I need it.
