the other day i found a wallet i had lost a while ago whilst tidying my bedroom.
inside there was 50 quid, i also have another 20 in my current wallet.

so i thought yeah, lets get an effects pedal. what i want is a 1 or 2 fuzz/OD/Distortion pedals. i want to do hendrix fuzz tones, clapton overdrive, AC/DC overdrive , guns n roses/motley crue distortion and pantera br00talz.

i have looked at, the Electro harmonix metal muff or micro metal muff or nano metal muff, for the higher gain. or the marshall jackhammer or boss turbo/mega distortion

for the fuzz i have looked at the bos fuzz, electro harmonix nano muff

for the overdrive i have looked at boss bluesdriver, marshall bluesbreaker, digitech bad monkey, boss overdrive, boss overdrive/distortion, marshall guv'nor

i havent trie any of these pedals but tomorrow i am going out and i can get to at least 4 guitar shops

so if u could eliminate some of the pedals that arent so good, tell m which ones will do more than one of my specified tones, and suggest other pedals if need be, but please remember my budgt is 70 pounds maybe a little more if my mum will lend me extra i need be

+1 on the Metal Muff.

Mine kicks ass, I recommend it.

EDIT: I have a Q, if you don't mind....

Quid and pounds are the same thing?

Sorry, I don't know my European currencies.

What about euros? Are they the same? If not, where are they used? Are there places that accept both?

Get the Marshall Jackhammer...

suitable fotr all the blues and
the guns and roses etc.. what you said stuff...

if you fiddle with the knobs (turn the gain up full)
you will get all the distortion you need and tone... also has a contour knob

its a good pedal

The marshall Jackhammer is good in overdrive mode, but in distortion mode, mine has a major bypass flaw that i'm not sure if all others have... it doesn't bypass properly - you still hear some of the effect under the clean channel if the gain is high... this is why i got a boss DS-2 after getting the marshall. Its fine in overdrive mode, no bypass problems.

also: STAY AWAY FROM THE BOSS FUZZ if you're talking about the FZ-5. Its really really unbelievably crappy. search it on youtube.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Well, I'm selling a Roger Mayer Classic Fuzz (think Hendrix.) and I'm also selling a Boss Blues Driver if you're interested(about £25)?

^ not a big fan of boss pedals in general... the ds-one is pretty lame, and thin sounding... the metal-core and metal zone both sound terrible save for one setting (and in no way versatile)

cant say anything about their overdrives though, haven't personally tried them.

Yeah, Quid is slang for pounds, like dollars and bucks.

Euros are different, they're used in most european countries (except for Britain, obviously) and I think the exchange is something like 70 pence= 1 euro.

No overdrive/fuzz pedal would work too well with your vox.
It only has a tube preamp and it's modelling.

I'd say buy some other effects instead, etc.
