wow. if it weren't for the weird paint job that thing would look pretty damn cool.

Of course i'm kidding. just saying that before anyone verbally destroys me...

this is an early version, still working on my templates. I've got a couple more coming soon. They're getting better very quickly, I'm learning a lot. fun fun fun

will finish putting her together tomorrow. will post a video of my playing her too

am also working on a couple more shapes

The body is eh... the headstock is just horrible.

i dig it. it's hard enough to come up with something that hasn't been beaten to death. i like the lines and while the paintjob definitely isn't me, it is cool.

head does look like it could be fragile, tho.
#7
I like it. Especially the paintjob. The headstock could be a bit bigger/more beefy though.

The headstock is a little small, the newer versions are looking a lot better. The whole idea is to make every guitar unique. I appreciate the encouragement, thanks guys.

how exactly will the strings reach the tuners?
From what I can see, the low E, A, and D strings will be fine, as usual on the upper side of the headstock, and the high e and B strings will be fine on the lower side, but then how will the G string reach the last tuner? It's tucked in behind the other 2...

Other than that, I really like the design of it, and the paint job is really cool. I'll be looking forward to seeing newer versions, too.

The strings all work out. They are a little close, but I measured everything right, it's just that the headstock is a little too crowded.

I've gotta make a couple pickguards and then I will be putting her together

this shape is called XO, this model is XO001

yeah, that is a very original design, the head stock looks like it might be a bit fragile though.

Pickguards? Wouldn't that cover up the awesome paintjob?

Either way, it's really nice and original. Kind of like a psychedelicced double cut LP.

oh no pickguard on this guitar. I'm making a custom meatwad P-bass for a custy, and a strat + backplate for another nice fellow.
#15
What kind of wood is it made of?

In terms of looks it's very.... different.
#16

i really like it

Oh well, now the empty shell of what used to be chocolaty goodness can contain a tasty guitar circuit.

It actually is not very heavy, I hollowed out the insides before I glued them together to reduce weight.

Why are some people so mean, I don't really care, but saying 'that's so ugly' isn't really nice. Whatever though

I love it, personally. Most of the time, I hate stupid B.C. Rich-style headstocks and anything with those dumb points on them, but you somehow pulled it off. Honestly, I think the headstock is fine, the body is fine, and the paint is incredible.

Good job. Be sure to record a sound clip.
Sincerely, Chad.

I like the body quite alot the paint job is insane. The headstock is as everyone else says too pointy for my taste but it looks like its gonna be a great guitar.
#35
i like that it's got a bit of rickenbacker 4001/3 flare going on

I get my acrylic at a place called plastic world in toronto.

Yes this is my first acrylic guitar. I've been making pickguards from acrylic for almost a year so I've got a decent amount of experience. Once you know how to work with it, it is very easy to work with, especially because you can make acrylic paste by adding some acetone to it which comes in handy a lot.

This headstock is a little too small, The new one's coming around look better and they're slightly bigger.

I think im going to paint the back a bit, add a little extra to her.
#38
I really like it i do
Its really REALLY unique, paintjob, the acrilic thing, i've never seen it done in a ply fassion before, in theory it seems quite ingenious, but depends how it sounds really

SOUND CLIPS!!!
when its done of course

Can't wait to see what comes next
When you say 'next one's' do you mean next guitars or just the headstock?

Because i can't wait to see your next guitar

I have 2 more close to done, same body shape, same headstock shape but a bit bigger and a bit better, I hope to be able to make at least a couple a week. Everyone a different design. I will be making a couple more different shapes soon too.

I go out now for an hour, then come back and string her up

BTW, I have to say, this headstock shape was inspired by ormsby's demonic bass. In fact everything ormsby does inspires me huge, also carousel, your work is amazing and you've insipred me a sh!tload too, thanks guys
