i have a semi hollow but i want to get a more acoustic sound out
of it. what would be some good pickups to get that kind of clearer sound?

and btw, i'm not trying to sound exactly like an acoustic guitar, just similar.

hmm not so sure but you might would be able to find something similar to what they put in the hybrid electrics like the taylor t5 or ovation vxt and get an acoustic electric tone

A piezo pickup sounds pretty close to an acoustic.

Couldn't you just roll back the volume and the tone? That always sounds pretty close to me. Not spot on, but pretty close.
