so i've been looking at live multi-effects pedals and i've come down to 2. the line 6 pod x3 live or the boss gt-10. although i know the gt-10 isn't out yet, i plan to test it at my local guitar center as soon as it does.

i've played the pod x3 live and it has good distortion and metal effects, i play all types of metal, mostly death and black metal.

i haven't had any experience with boss pedals, it would be helpful if someone could tell me if the gt-8 gets good distortion for metal playing.

they both cost the same, so price is not an issue.

You're wrong. Everyone here hates SPIDER III.

The POD is meant to be pretty good.

I have the Metal Zone, on a budget (which I am) it's pretty good but lefthandman is right, it does suck tone quite a bit. For a temporary situation (like me) it can get you by.
