I found a les paul style ibanez from 1976 in great condition on my local craigslist, the guy wants 400 for it but i could probably talk him down a little or maybe convince him to trade it for my schecter, do you guys think that this is a good deal for one of these and how well do they play, sound

VERY good. Many say they were better than the guitars they were copying. A shop owner here let me play his 1978/79 post lawsuit Ibanez LP Copy, and it is a KILLER guitar. That is a helluva good price too; they tend to go for over $1k
